WebThunderlords doesn't do well with quick trades. It's on a huge CD while Grasp is not. Fervor is probably the best on Riven, after that it's TLD. You could say that this depends on the player though, what I'm saying is arguable. Grasp isn't really worth it anymore IMO, not like the nerf was huge but the items that grasp build used have been nerfed. WebGrasp on Leona is picked 18.41% of the time, Aftershock is at 67.65%. However the winrate is higher on Grasp (+2.12%) compared to Aftershock (+0.66), which is what determines which rune is highlighted when loading up a champ-page on Murderbridge (I suppose). But I think I will agree with you on in this case, I would prefer Aftershock on Leona. 12.
