The only option I can find in Maya is to use the Maya Catmull-Clark option and use ‘Propogate Hard Edges’ and ‘Preserve Hard Edges’ but it doesn’t work the same way as 3DS Max does.

WebThis feature should be in rendering options. Use FBX export plugin and check Smooth edges. Load it in your other 3D app and see if there are still some edges that need to be fixed. If you want to import it into the game then that Low poly version should be good. You can smoothen selected geometry with W > Smooth or scale it along normals with Alt + S to make it located under harder / softer angle. WebJun 19, 2024 · Yes the “unlock normal” tool fixes that but we have to redefine all the soft/hard edges for the character from the start, any ideas on how to fix the problem.
