It also explains why Southwire doesn't have "allowable ampacities" in the specifications section of their UF-B chart and only 1 ampacity on their NM-B chart. They don't seem to make #4 UF-B, and you're correct that #4 NM only comes in 4/3, and it's $11/ft.!

Start it at the end and just run the blade along the wire, like you would carve a shaving off a stick, splitting the cable. Then pull the ground wire free of the cable.
